How to Choose the Right Size (Without the Guesswork)

How to Choose the Right Size (Without the Guesswork)

A simple guide to help you get the perfect fit from the first try

Choosing the wrong size is the most common reason people feel disappointed when shopping online — not because the product isn’t good, but because the fit isn’t right.

That’s why at Movasa, we created this quick guide to help you choose confidently and avoid unnecessary exchanges.

Understand the Fit Types

Not all fits feel the same, even if the size label is identical.

 Regular / Athletic Fit

  • Comfortable and balanced

  • Not too tight, not too loose

  • Ideal for training and everyday wear

✔ If you prefer comfort, stick to your usual size.

 Compression / Tight Fit

  • Designed to fit close to the body

  • Offers support and performance benefits

  • Made for training, not lounging

If you’re not used to tight fits:

We recommend sizing up.

Use Your Body Preferences — Not Just the Number

Instead of saying:

“I’m always a Large”

Ask yourself:

  • Do I prefer a relaxed feel or a snug fit?

  • Do I feel uncomfortable in tight clothing?

  • Am I buying this for performance or daily wear?

 It’s completely normal to wear:

  • M in a regular tee

  • L in a compression top

Measure a T-Shirt You Already Love

The easiest and most accurate method:

  1. Take a T-shirt that fits you well

  2. Lay it flat on a bed or table

  3. Measure:

    • Chest width (underarm to underarm)

    • Length (top to bottom)

  4. Compare the measurements to our size chart

✔ More accurate than measuring your body
✔ Less room for error

Height & Weight Help — But Aren’t Everything

Height and weight are useful, but they don’t tell the full story.

Two people can weigh the same, yet have completely different body shapes — broader shoulders, slimmer waists, or different proportions.

That’s why we always recommend relying on measurements in centimeters, not just size labels.

Stuck Between Two Sizes?

Use this simple rule:

  • Prefer comfort → go with the larger size

  • Prefer a tighter, performance fit → go with the smaller size

For compression products:

When in doubt, always size up.
